Yeah, even though it was a clip from a movie about football, “the inches we need are everywhere around us,” is actually a pretty solid quote that applies to much more than football. Plus, I love that movie

Thanks for digging this one up. I haven’t watched this movie in years! Definitely my most favorite movie football speech, up there with Denzel’s in Remember The Titans.

Even though I have to admit I’m not a football-lover (or a football-liker, for that matter!)… I do love the idea that life is a game of inches. I know how those guys push so hard, just for one more inch. What a great life lesson… that all those inches eventually lead to touchdowns. You made me appreciate football! Bravo

What a great speech and film that really is.
One of those movies with some great inspirational speeches and a soundtrack that gets you fired up and the adrenaline pumping.

I’m a football (UK – soccer) man myself but do enjoy the odd bit of NFL when I can get to see it. Will make it to the Superbowl one day!!
